long time no update pt. 1.. new york
hey guys.. i know it's been a long time since you've heard about what your hero is up to. i've been busy, so here goes.
on thursday, feb. 17th, we were leaving for new york city that night, but before, i had to go to a bijoux practice... goodness forbid i miss one, but anyways. so after bijoux i ran home and took the quickest shower ever, and finished the lil bit of packing that i had to do, and went down to the school. so we go over to karns and get them.. then we were off!! so the next few hours were filled of a bunch of people just hangin and gettin to know each other, and whenever somone would ask where we were... we'd tell em PA, even though we were still in tennessee... and then it happens. we hear a sound and the bus pulls over... in the middle of the night.. in the middle of NOWHERE, VA. so we go to white's truck stop in groups of 10 while they fixed the bus. so we hang out there... NEVER want to go back there again. and then we climbed back on the bus. so we talked for a few more hours before passing out at like 5.. to hear madame on the loudspeaker at 7:30.. that was nice. so we ate at a buffet in PA i guess. then we got back on the bus, and sara and i changed and got ready and fell back asleep. when we got to the city, we went under the lincoln tunnel.the longest effin tunnel in the world. (lol) and then we were in nyc. so we went to central park and walked around for a while and looked at the gates... they looked like shower curtains to me, but anywho. so then we went to trump tower. it was so pretty. then to our hotel to clean up a lil bit and then out to cafe un, deux, trois (french restaurant) to eat... yum yum. then we went to go see the phantom of the opera... LOVE IT, that's all i can say. and that was it for that night... needless to say, early night for me.
the next day we woke up and went to the metropoliatan museum of art and looked around, and ate there then we went to see the lion king. it was awesome. costumes, music... ahhh, memories. then we went to eat at john's pizza. mmmmm. then we went to see beauty and the beast. my favorite. on the way back.. we hit up some starbucks... GOOD hot chocolate
then we got to go to radio city music hall (rockettes) and take a tour.. on stage, backstage, and everything. cut pics on stage of the girls ATTEMPTING the kicks. lol, we've got a while before we're rockettes. then we went to katz deli... place where meg ryan had her orgasim scene in When Harry Met Sally. it was fun, but scary at the same time. good cheese cake.then we went to ground zero. it was a really somber place... but i spent a lot of time over in the church across the street... it was an awesome display of people that sent stuff to show their appreciation to us, and that they're thinking about us. then we went to china town and little italy. at china town, it was the last day of the chinese new year, so we got to see a parade of the dragon. it was cool, didn't really understand, but i guess that's because i'm not chinese. lol. at the restaurant that night we had a singer that sang to us during dinner.. it was so good. lol. he made us get up and do the chiken dance... SOOOO much fun to do the chicken dance in the middle of a restaurant in new york city! then we went to the empire st. building... it was SOOOOOO pretty. you could see every thing... it started snowing. and then we went to time square and got our group picture made. it was so pretty because it had the snow flakes and every thing... ahhh the memories. that was my favorite day.
then the next morning was when we were leaving, but we still had some stuff to see. we were gonna go see the statue of liberty. it had snowed so much the night before that there was enough snow to have a snow ball fight. so being the hicks from tennessee that we are... that don't see a lot of snow, got off the bus and had a snow ball fight. and there were oriental people all around us takin pics of crazy americans, some of em even got in on the action. it reminded me that america still has children at heart, and there are still nice people out there. so then we got on the boat for our tour. and it started, and we went outside to get really good pics of the statue and then when there was nothing for the guy to talk about, we just went outside and were crazy.. taking pics posed like the statue. and then these oriental guys wanted to take pics with us... we got a good laugh out of it. lol then we were singin and dancin and havin a good ol time out in the cold. then we loaded the bus to go back to good ol k-town. we stopped at hershey's chocolate world. it was good... cheesy, but good. so then we stayed up basically the whole way again. good times wicked oldies.
so all in all it was an AWESOME trip... so much stuff in such little time. i want to go back so bad. i miss it. :'(
till the next en.
